Being a Catholic and Wiccan is not the easiest thing to wrap one's head around. Do I call on the Holy Spirit or do I call on The Goddess? Will they get offended if I call on them both? The website does a good job of explaining how to combine Wicca with Christianity.
Before I found this website I didn't know what it was called when you put Catholicism and Wicca together so I guessed and called it Cathowic or Wiccacath. This website helped give a name to what I am doing.
The site was created by a woman who calls herself Kekarnyek which is Hungarian for Blue Shadow. The page is easy to read and has excellent graphics. I felt I could relate to Blue Shadow because she is also Catholic and Wiccan.
Blue Shadow's approach to her tradition is simple and easy for the beginner and the seasoned witch to follow. She encourages you to do what feels right but to also have full knowledge of your path. I like what she wrote about angels, because before now I didn't know that you could still have angels and follow Wicca. This is a relief as well. The site also gave some food for thought about about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit being the same as the Maiden, Mother and Crone. This will make it easier to work out my spells and my rituals now I've got my head around this.
The thing that really stuck with me is the rituals with the puddles. Since I am in Britain where it rains a lot and I secretly like splashing in puddles, so next time I will do this ritual. It is sometimes not possible to do a circle and this is a simple ritual to do on your way to work instead.
Her list of books was a great relief for me because they have stuff about Catholic Wicca and I haven't been able to find anything. Now I can tell people that I want these books for Christmas/Yule if they are struggling to think of stuff to buy me.
The links to other sites are very informative and I will come back to them often. All in all, this site is very well done and does not come across as preachy or holier than thou. It is very refreshing and it really helped me get my thoughts in order and gave me a frame work for forming my tradition.
