'Practical Magic' Starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, 1998, Warner Bros

Oh I loved this movie and I've watched it and watched it.

I guess to me I got caught up in the stories of the sisters. The way they interacted. I know there are people who would say oh you can't know when you sister is on the phone before it rings. Well, it happens all the time in my family. We sit and the phone rings... We know who it is. Calling to each other over distances, yes. We do that too.

My sister was in an abusive relationship and I felt the need to protect her even though she is 10 years older than me. It's a link between the family.

The way the aunts allow the sisters to grow on their own. How they interacted with each other. In one scene you see how doing something for money for survival is done. How different thoughts are.

I would love to have the house in that movie. LOL It has a very calming energy for me. I think because they are a relaxed fun loving family.

Yes, there is that love story aspect of it too.

I will say there were some things that were just a little weird but it's hollywood. I wasn't offended by things they did.

Sandra Bullock has one scene where she is being questioned about something. The detective ask her about some herbs, belladonna to be exact. She says, some people use it as a sedative, and the detective responded with something can't remember right now... and she said "which people?". He says ahhh, yes witch people. Her response is so funny. She is just silly.

Over all though, I loved the story. I will say however if you haven't read the book do so. Just don't compare them. The movies was *loosely* based on the book. There was so much that was different but both are really wonderful in their on right.
