'The Phantom of The Opera' Joel Schumaker © 2005 Warner Bros. phantomthemovie.warnerbros.com Starring: Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum, Patrick Wilson, Minnie Driver, Miranda Richardson 141 minutes

I am being seduced, becoming obsessed by the Phantom of the Opera. Its very good. Gerard Butler plays a very excellent Phantom with Emmy Rossum playing Christine and Patrick Wilson as Raoul. I am so taken with this Opera. Excellent music scores leaving you wanting more. The DVD is 141 minutes long and came out around 2004/2005.

This is a Andrew Lloyd Webber and Joel Schumacher film put out by Warner Bros. Andrew Lloyd Webber composed the music and Charles Hart and Richard Stilgoe wrote the lyrics. Mr. Webber originally did this as a stage play done on his estate in England in the 1980's with Sarah Brightman playing the lead as Christine. From there it hit other stages. Brits, you may remember seeing the video for The Phanton of the Opera with the song "The Phantom of the Opera" sung by Sarah Brightman. In the interview section of the DVD, the 2 disc, it was mentioned that Andrew sort of parallels this, as he was in love with Sarah Brightman.

Anyway, if you haven't seen it, I recommend getting it. You will be enthralled with the romantic love triangle and the haunting music. My heart really goes out to the Phantom.

Last review of the night I promise..LOL. ...ok now with all the remakes of this film it was hard to find a good one. Obviously the original with Lon chaney was the best and all the remakes vale in comparison HOWEVER..the newest Version created in 2005 with a surprisingly wonderful all star cast is an excellent remake. The Phantom((Gerard Butler)) is wonderful and Christine is great. I love Phantom and Im glad this movie was made. Makes up for the other versions..lol. 4 stars...in my opinion. Definately worth a look. The imagery was wonderful and the music((with the exception of the high pitched italian)) was well done.
