After a fainting spell at work, Georgia Byrd (Queen Latifah) finds out she has a brain tumour and just a few weeks left to live. In her book of dreams, possibilities, she has put pictures of places she'd like to see, people she'd like to meet and a certain co-worker, Sean (LL Cool J), she'd like to get to know.
One of Georgia's fondest wishes is to meet Chef Didier (Gérard Depardieu) who works in the exclusive holiday resort, hotel Pupp in the Czech Republic. After she tells her manager at the department store to shove the job and she books a flight to Prague.
At the resort she meets her boss Senator Matthew Kragen (Timothy Hutton) and the Louisiana Congressman who was supposed to come speak at her church the Sunday before. And most importantly, she meets Chef Didier, and she actually gets to cook with him.
Even if the subject is sad, this film is hilarious. Of course I'm a little biased 'cause I think Queen Latifah is fantastic, and I love Gérard Depardieu as well. The ending is a little predictable, but all in all a great film.
