Weekly Discussions

Greetings Witchgrovers old and new……I’d like to introduce you all to a new feature that I’d love to see take off! Each week we will be introducing a new topic of discussion and we’d like to spend the week focusing (not entirely, mind) on these in the hopes that we can all learn from each other.

One discussion leader will introduce the topic while during the week people are invited to write their thoughts, questions and even detractions – one of the joys of discussion is that there are times we can disagree and learn new sides to each issue!

    Sex Magick

    Ok.. so I'm the newly-wed.. writing on sex magick.. *cough cough* Wow.. wonder how I got con'd into that.. LOL.. I actually chose to wrote on this a while back, and didn't even think that I'd just, be coming out of the honeymoon stage.. ok maybe not coming out of it yet....

    Now on a personal note, you do not have to perform sex magick with anyone who a) you don't feel comfortable with, or b) don't feel you can exchange such powerful and connecting energies with. For example, it's your second date, and you get frisky... I do not recommend this; you've been together for a year, and you both would like to try - go for it...

    Sex magick in my eyes can be that of pure ecstasy for both parties. You do not necessarily have to have a spell in mind, but that of total energy exchange; where you enter his body and he enters yours, and this is not meant physically, but more so mentally and emotionally. If you are working with spells, having the right candle lit, with the right aromas going, will also kick up your spell.

    Now the first question is: why would one do sex magick over regular ritual??? In my opinion you both are putting your energies together, to create one large bang, with both the act of sex, as well as the intent of the spell both exploding at once. Now in regular ritual, you can still have both parties there, and both putting that energy forth, but I think sex, makes it more powerful.

    Deciding who to do this with also gets tricky. You have to hope you're either married to or dating someone who is willing to do this. I know some of us are not married to a Pagan or a Witch, so this could be difficult. And always know you can do sex magick alone... (don't look at me like that, you can) And if you have the right partner, great! Lets get started...

    Being totally trusting and being confident in the other person is crucial. You're giving yourself completely, not just body, but mind, soul, everything you have will go into this. Make it most passionate, touch, feed and release energy into each other. Kiss, lick, umm yeah... you get the idea, but be focused on your partner, and their wants and cravings, as well as your own. Focus on your intent if it's for spell work, both putting those energies out. Having an orgasm together can be tricky, but women we know we can do it... and having one together, where you can share and express those passionate and personal, wonderful (who am I kidding), feelings out together... what kind of impact would that bring on a spell but pure bliss..

    I thought I would feel weird talking about this, but I feel like I'm trying to describe my sex life to you guys.

    At least once a month, we do a serious energy magick or sex magick. I feel him in me (not physically) and I in him. Our complete love for each other is shared and is known and is felt. It's like we are one, pure and totally together when we do this, and hell, it's great! I never thought I'd be able to do it with anyone ever, then I lucked out and found Brian.

    Everyone does things differently and to me what I've described to you is my magick in the bedroom.

    Now some questions for you lot.. have you attempted sex magick, and if so, could you tell that your spell had worked quicker, or more powerfully?? Did you just do energy exchange, and how was that feeling?? (without being graphic of course) Would you consider sex magick to be dangerous, or good?
