Achievements Beyond the Norm
Mab, Scott and Aella met up at Witchfest, in Croydon, on November 5th, 2005. Organized by The Children of Artemis, speakers on the day included Ronald Hutton, Fred Lamond, Terry Pratchett and Christopher Penczak. Amy Rawson was interviewed by Matrifocus, with her artwork also featured on the cover. Hilde Bakering launched her new website. The beautiful Andrea, of Twin Roses Designs sold some materials on E-bay, donating part of the proceeds to the Witchgrove website fund. Two members of Witchgrove, Heather and 'Theresa', were featured in 'The Season of the Witch', an article telling about the reality of Hallowe'en/Samhain as a religious festival. David Gonterman has moved house and found the commissions on his artwork flooding in. |
Phoenyxa, with her son and friend, were involved in a terrible car accident (not their fault), on November 28th, but all survived it with mainly whiplash, cuts and bruising. The car has been written off. Major negotiation behind the scenes meant that the druidic grove to which Fell to Earth belongs was saved from disintegration. A Grove member's cousin, Tory, was featured in an article, in 'Stars and Stripes', telling how he was saving lives in Pakistan: MASH unit finds tetanus common in Pakistan quake victims Anna Alexander interviewed the lovely Mike Gleason. Dreamweaver organized the Christmas/Yule/Winter Solstice/Alban Arthan/Saturnalia/Chanukah (Hanukkah)/Kwanzaa/etc card exchange. Karen, Mab and Kate came from their respective corners of the world to meet up in Dublin. Last minute decisions and arrangements made it a true adventure, and also involved seeing The Devlins live
The Grove membership rose from 257 to 260 members; posting 4467 messages; this latter was largely because we had a pie chart, which was hours of fun and was won by Cerr! Weekly discussions were introduced by Heather, Dreamweaver, Wildmountain Gryph and Cerr. | |

Veil Crossings and Rites of Passage Gryph's grand-daughter, Angelena Jean, was born on November 5th, 2005. Dreamweaver and Scorpius were both initiated to Wicca, on November 6th, 2005. Tarna's feline friend, Ching, passed through the veil, on November 11th, 2005. Ivy Wolfmoon faced some tough decisions about her own spiritual path towards the end of November 2005. |
