    'Llangyndr' by Mab

Llangyndr is a mountain in the Welsh Valleys, covered in tumuli and standing stones. One autumn, two friends and I were hippy shuffling around it, when the sunset set. It was a truly Celtic 'time between the times', a Veil moment, as the Valleys beneath us were as washed with red as the Brecon Beacons, the Coity, the Blorenge and all the other mountains in our view.

Not one of us spoke or even looked at one another to smile out the message that 'Yes, I can see and feel it too.' It was too holy for that. But when I did shift my gaze from the wonder of the world about me, to look at my friends, they seemed as people from legends - a God and a Goddess - there on the mountain with me. And I, so they said later, looked the same.
